The Box Bungalow

We had a great stay here! Such a cozy place and you can tell a lot of thought was put into the layout and design. The staff were super responsive and fast when we needed an extra towel and trash bag. Love that they are super pet friendly too! We will definitely be back!

Everything about this place was amazing! The location was gorgeous, the room was extremely cozy, and the bathhouse & amenities were even better than expected! My bf and I stayed here for a week with our cat and we all felt right at home. It was my first time visiting Colorado and bringing our cat on a roadtrip and this place just gave us the best experience. I really appreciate how pet friendly it is here, and the hosts were super helpful in answering any questions we had. We agreed this was one of the best places we've been to and are definitely planning on coming back again. Thank you so much!

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend in August and had the most relaxing time. The location is perfect and we were able to easily head into town for meals and drinks. We spent most of our time at the bungalow reading, sitting outside, and taking naps. The options to sit outside or lay on the outdoor bed was perfect. We will 100% be coming back at some point to relax and recharge!

We wanted to visit the Salida/Poncha Springs area to do some gravel biking and found Outside Design Nature Hotel as a lodging option. The Box Bungalow was perfect! The space stayed warm even when the night temperatures dipped in the 30s. The bed was quite comfortable, the amenities perfect for “glamping” and the bath house was clean and dare I say luxurious for this type of stay. it featured piped in music, aroma therapy, clean bathroom stalls and hot water after a long day on the bike. The “at cost” market supplied snacks and gear if you needed something. The barrel sauna cozy and an extra for the overall experience. We will be back!

LOVED it!!! Saw a previous reviewer complained about nearby construction - we weren't advised of it until the day of check-in, BUT the construction was rather quiet and did not disturb us whatsoever! Also, whomever complained about the cleanliness of the bathrooms must crazy, because I thought they we pretty immaculate. We loved our stay so much that we are talking about making this a regular stop of ours, and are thinking about renting 2 or 3 of the spaces when our family comes to visit. The property is gorgeous, my favorite part of it was the hiking trail. A+++
